The French Rd Community Garden
The French Rd Community Garden is a group of keen amateur gardeners who got together in mid-2024 to form a community garden based in grounds of the Wangi Uniting Church at 3 French Rd, Wangi.
In October 2024, we were successful in getting a grant from the Hunter Presbytery of Uniting church, which provided funds to get the garden going. We have purchased wicking beds for our gardens, and have installed and planted them at the front of the church and at the back.
With the help of Wangi Men's Shed, we have built extra frames and we have another two raised garden beds.

- Where and when? The gardening group are based in the grounds of the Wangi Uniting Church at 3 French Rd, Wangi. During winter our working days are Thursday at 9am to 11am. During summer our working days are both Thursday and Saturday at 9am to 11am. We stop for morning tea at around 10:00 or 10:30.
- Who can come? The group is composed of anyone in our local community who is interested - it is not limited to church members.
